Mona Cordes is passionate not only about sustainability in all its forms, but also about accountability and transparency. Cordes believes in continuously challenging the brands practice and in disrupting current fashion systems. The brand is all about making fashion a positive impact to our planet. Mona Cordes only works with ecologically sourced materials. They are responsibly collected from dead stock places or are repurposed fabrics as the recycled digitally printed fabrics Cordes uses.
Certified fibres are being used for tees and jumpers for example - GOTS and Oeko-Tex, GRS fibres (only 100% recycled).
Dyeing fabrics is done with natural dyes and wool for knitwear pieces used is made of organic cotton fibres, mohair and 100% merino wool.
Mona Cordes is a practically zero waste practice, no waste is being skipped. Patchwork pieces like skirts and bags are made of the off-cut materials gathered. Upcycling textile processes is also of high importance.
Storytelling through materials and themes is a conscious decision of the brand. Cordes shows the value and meaning behind clothing and is showcasing such through ethical concepts like themes: Scandinavian myths in nature as well as bacteria and micro organisms and how they are harmful for humans and their living arrangements.
Science and fashion are interconnected and Cordes is working continuously to bridge this gap.
What happens with your information?
When you purchase something from the shop, Cordes only collects personal information such as your name, address and email address. Email marketing- with your permission, Cordes may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
Shipping
Made-to-order purchases take between 1 - 3 weeks to produce plus the shipping time.
Therefore the lead time is stated to usually 3 - 6 weeks on items. Pieces will usually be produced as fast as possible for you.
If our product is delayed it’s by means out of Mona Cordes control - ordered fabric is delayed or print studio slots are booked up. You will be contacted as soon as possible. You will receive a notification email when the item has been dispatched.
It is your responsibility to pay any import duties and charges once the item reaches the destination country.

Made-to-order items cannot be refunded.
Made to order items are specially made to you and your measurements and fabric is being hand printed and ordered for yourself truly. Therefore please respect the time each piece takes and the love it’s made with. Please state your measurements and dress size, clothing size as detailed as you wish for the best possible fit. Any colour swaps or small
Changes to the piece please state with your order and we can work this out.
If you are London based it’s also possible for you to come by my studio for a quick stop to take your measurements.
